  Love it here! Such a chilled place and friendly staff. We’ve set up our tent but can use all the facilities which are great as well! Would definitely recommend this place!

  Really nice relaxing place. You can choose to sleep in a dorm, twin room or pitch your tent. The Salty Jackal is close to beaches and the center, has a fully equipped kitchen, fridge, honesty bar and cool hostel vibe. The wifi is great and owner and staff are super friendly and helpful.

  Very nice place, excellent location! And staff is very very friendly and helpful!! The place has a very relaxing and good vibe. I would deff recomended and come back if im in Swakopmund again.

  Nice spot, well equipped kitchen for self catering and the owner was helpful and friendly. Quite small hostel with just a few rooms so it felt super homey! Place was kept very clean. Our only complaint was that it was a touch on the pricey side compared to the other hostel we stayed at in town and some of the room pricing didn't make much sense to us (it would have been cheaper for us as a couple to take both the private twin and private double with ensuite, than to just rent the double with ensuite as it was charged per person, rather than per room!) New hostel though, so give it a try and have fun!

  Super chilled homely vibe. Perfect location on the road to Walvis Bay and the dunes. Oliver knows all the surf spots of the skeleton coast including the fabled Skeleton Bay! Definitely coming back here!
