::Horrible, stressful experience with Hilton Windhoek location- no sat nav provided even when requested before, was given a vehicle with an already flat spare tyre (only discovered on return in Cape Town), pre-inspection damages were not noted in the document clearly (resulting in problems at return), and finally Cross -border authorization was not provided upon departure (this was stressful as we had to call the guy over three days to get the document finally emailed). Totally Unprofessional service - wouldn't have expected this from a brand like Hertz.

::If there is still time, run away from Hertz! In the middle of the desert we punctured a 4x4 Hertz tire. So we changed it by the spare wheel itself already dead! As a result, we remained stuck until someone else came to help us. The vehicle was not equipped with a tire pump or nanometer, especially since a single spare wheel in the conditions of a safari is not acceptable (Equipment yet standard for some other rental companies ). The only response we received from Hertz was that we did not have window / tire insurance. Hertz is not aware of the risk we ran and will not change their way of doing things. They simply put our lives in danger..... But considering the last comments, they are used to put us in danger ....

::I had a bad expierence with Herzt. On the day we were supposed to pick up the car we encountered some problems with our crΓ©dit card. Nothing unusual but it was a sundays so it took us 1 day to sort it out with the bank. We told the people to keep the car for one day on wich they agreed. When we retured the next day they gave the car away. They needed 3 hours to get us a different car which was not a 4x4 double cab as ordered but rather a SUV. The people there were not helpfull at all and did not care at all about us.
