  The luxury of the luxury suites is for the view of the jetty and the sea. Not fur the base line pine fittings and cement flour with only a bedside foot mat. The slices of processed cheese and rubbery egg kept warm for the 2 hours or so of breakfast was enough to forego it for the next 2 mornings. Rates the same as the really luxurious rooms at Dessert Breeze Lodge where the view is the spectacular desert dunes and the breakfast really special.

  Stayed in the new section. Modern and lovely view of the sea. Highly recommend. Very nice bar area

  Lovely modern, comfortable and spacious rooms. Very minimalistic which we love. (Un)fortunately we were so in the moment I forgot to take photos of the room.. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and the owner goes out of her way to make sure your stay is enjoyable. Ala mer is one block walk away from the town center-making it easy to get to local shops and restaurants. It’s also across the street from the beach. Very convenient location. Secure parking available but on-street parking is also safe. The only negative I have is that because it’s all concrete you hear when doors are opening and toilets flush-but that fades into the background very quickly. We will DEFINITELY stay here again. Room advice-book either room 3 or 4-they are top floor, sea facing rooms. 😊

  Absolutely fantastic and highly recommendable, it is like arriving at home. Friendly and supportive Management and Staff. Rooms and breakfast outstanding and of quality. For sure one of the best accommodation venues in Swakopmund. Thanks A La Mer, we definitely enjoyed our stay with you. "We will be back"!
